The 24 Avenue NW Planter Project dubbed as Flower Power is a community-led initiative to bring more greenery, colour, and neighbourly pride to our streetscape. In partnership with the City of Calgary, we are expanding our efforts to beautify the concrete bump-outs along 24 Avenue NW with 14 new planters between 19 Street and 14 Street NW.
With flowers provided by the City’s Mobility team, the project will add seasonal colour while creating a more welcoming and vibrant avenue for residents, businesses, and visitors. Community volunteers will also play an important role by helping care for and maintain the planters throughout the summer.
Custom signage at each planter will highlight volunteer-led maintenance, opportunities to get involved, and the role of the Community Association in bringing the project to life.
Together, we’re growing a greener 24 Avenue NW—one planter and one neighbour at a time.
